These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AI Student browser extension, website at aistudent.app, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by AI Student ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information.
• Keep your login credentials confidential.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or any related systems or networks.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to generate content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without our written consent.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service beyond normal use of the extension.

4. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You acknowledge that:

• AI responses are provided for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice.
• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated content before relying on it.
• We make no warranties regarding the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of AI-generated content.

5. Academic Integrity

AI Student is designed to help you learn and understand material. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with your institution's academic integrity policies. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from how you use AI-generated content in academic settings.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase.
• Automatic renewal at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Provide accurate billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe; their terms apply to payment processing.

Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy, available upon request.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and content (except user-submitted content), is owned by AI Student and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, educational purposes.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store that content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We may use anonymized, aggregated data derived from usage to improve our AI models.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AI Student and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI Student and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
